Kontak is a multimedia telecom device geared towards older users aged 70+. The device serves foremost as a landline phone but additionally allows its user to keep in touch with non-local family and friends through intuitively making video calls.
Kontak is simple and intuitive to use through its button interface which includes contrasting icons and letting making it appropriate for its target user.
when the video-conferencing element of the design isn't in use, the screen lid is down concealing the large buttons, making the device look like a regular landline phone
younger users can communicate to the older user through an app which allows them to video call through their smartphone.
